About the Author Tony Sparkes:-Wildlife and Nature Photographer

I am an Electro Mechanical Engineer, as well as a part time freelance wildlife and bird photographer. I live with my wife Glenda in a great little town called Hoedspruit in the province of Limpopo in South Africa. Hoedspruit is in an area known in South Africa as the 'Lowveld' pronounced (Low-felt) area and is next to the world famous Kruger National Park which is where a lot of my photographs are taken in and around the surrounding areas as their is such biodiversity here in the Lowveld.

As an Enthusiastic Wildlife & Bird Photographer (Mainly Southern/South Africa) and a FGASA (Field Guide Association South Africa)  qualified guide, for which I qualified as a level 1 guide in 2009, I enjoy the bush greatly and spend all my spare moments if I can exploring its wonders.
I use Canon equipment to bring these images to you all and have done so for a number of years. My lenses are mostly 'prime' (especially for birds) as I find they have superior image quality to zoom lenses.

Originally from the UK but I now reside in South Africa after spending the last 15 years or so working around the world.

If you have any questions on what I take, how I take them - the area or anything else I could possibly help you with then just let me know.
